- Able to handle physically demanding, outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Reliable and willing to get stuck in
- Social with a good sense of humour
- Able to communicate effectively in English
Requirements
Before arriving, you’ll need:
- A valid Working Holiday Visa
- An IRD number
- A New Zealand bank account

Accommodation & Facilities
We offer a relaxed, backpacker-friendly setup with shared facilities.
- Rustic, farm-style camping accommodation
- Shared amenities and communal spaces
- Please note: you may need your own van or sleeper vehicle for accommodation
We provide:
- Hot showers and full bathroom facilities
- Unlimited high-speed WiFi
- Full laundry facilities
- Fully equipped kitchen and lounge areas

- Staff discounts at the Brick Bay Glass House Restaurant
- Transport to and from the Warkworth bus stop
Up to 12 people can live and work on-site at any one time.
The Work
There is a wide variety of work available at Brick Bay, which changes with the seasons and current projects.
You may be involved in:
- Vineyard work
- Restaurant support
- Gardening and weeding
- Mulching
- Cleaning and general maintenance
- Lawn mowing and weed trimming
- Assisting with farm animals
If you have additional skills (such as building, landscaping, cooking, or similar), please let us know — there may be opportunities to get involved in other projects.
If you are travelling with a partner, we may be able to accommodate positions for both of you.
Work & Pay
- Above minimum wage, based on skills and experience
- Full-time casual employment
- Typically 5 days per week, approximately 8 hours per day
