Lukeke Design - Kingfisher (Assorted Colours)

This series of Glass Birds created by Lukeke Design, founded by artists Katherine Rutecki and Luke Jacomb, intertwines the technicalities of glass art practice with the reinterpretation of traditional New Zealand motifs, the birdlife we find in the very bush of Brick Bay. The virtuoso glassblowing skills of both artists is directly informed by the surroundings of native New Zealand forest and intricate Venetian glasswork techniques. Each bird has a set-screw fitting, allowing them to be easily mounted at any angle on any type of wall, so you can compose your own dreamily swirling flock.
