Covid - Red Light

We want to make sure all visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience when returning to Brick Bay. While restrictions have eased in April 2022, we want to ensure you that we continue to make efforts to minimise risks to our guests and team members.

At the Red and Orange phase of the Protection Framework, all visitors are required to comply with conditions of entry, including wearing a face-covering whilst moving to and from your table in the restaurant, maintaining 1m physical distancing and cleaning and sanitising hands.

Click for the Ministry of Health’s Protection Framework guidelines and see our FAQs below for more information on how we are keeping everyone safe.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Brick Bay!

FAQ

As a result, Brick Bay has chosen to ‘opt-in’ to enable us to be open for dining in the Glass House restaurant.

  • Yes, the Government requires that visitors to indoor public spaces must wear a face covering at the red light setting of the Covid-19 Protection Framework. At orange & green, face coverings are encouraged.

To keep yourself and others safe, our staff will ask you to wear a mask whilst moving inside the Foyer Gallery and Glass House restaurant.

You will see all of our customer-facing team members also wearing masks while on your visit to us.

  • Please try to remember to bring and wear your own mask, however, we will keep a limited amount of disposable masks on-site in case you forget yours.

If you are with a friend or family member who has their mask, please send them into the foyer to ask for one from our team.

  • We want to make your experience as enjoyable and safe as possible.

To facilitate this, we are implementing a comprehensive range of safety measures to meet Government and Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines.

Here’s a rundown of some of the measures we’re putting in place:

As per Government conditions, all visitors must wear a facemask while visiting indoor public spaces.

At ‘red-light’ setting of the Covid-19 Protection Framework, please endeavour to maintain a one-metre physical distance from our staff and from any other people who are not in your own bubble.

It is our preference that payments are made using our PayWave contactless EFTPOS/credit card facilities.

All high-contact areas will be regularly cleaned throughout the day.

Hand sanitiser stations are located at the entrances to Sculpture Trail and Glass House restaurant for you to use.

HAND WASHING & SANITISER

When you arrive at Brick Bay there will be hand sanitiser stations at multiple locations so please do make use of these and remember to wash your hands frequently too.

Washing and drying your hands kills the virus - wash often. Use soap. 20 seconds. Then dry.

This kills the virus by bursting its protective bubble.
